I was informed, after I asked that my entry came in the top 12%.
There were 23,000 entries.
Not bad eh!

The shill wrote a story that an untalented High School freshman would have written and ‘presumably won $1500. The outfit who ran the contest (who are long gone in the wind) took my $1500 less the stipend for the shill and one presumes has run other writing contests using the same scam.

Great question! It tends to depend on the competition. Some allow you to enter your poem into multiple competitions, others don’t. Some also have clauses that say that if your piece gets accepted elsewhere, you have to withdraw it from their competition. Your best bet is to check the terms and conditions of each competition. Good luck!

I have a very personal and I think well written poem I would like to enter into several contests.
